For Young Audiences
There is no better place for children and teens to have fun and get familiar with the values of team work than in a theatre workshop. Character’s ToolCase workshop for young audiences provides the space to unleash children‘s and teens’ talents and make them feel the thrills of creating unique silent characters of extraordinary physical expression.
In this workshop, which can be designed either for the young participants or for teachers, our main goal is to share simple ways for creating clear and intriguing characters and making them alive through whimsical improvisations. Using pantomime, gags, contemporary dance techniques, ensemble exercises, theatre and improvisation games we challenge participants to discover and develop their physical qualities as well as the importance of collaboration. We stimulate their imagination and curiosity and we boost their self -esteem leading them to feelings of confidence when it comes to public exposure.
Theatre has the power to promote our personal development and contribute to a deeper understanding of ourselves and others. Our goal is to give a sparkle of inspiration and motivation both to young participants and teachers for unconventional theatrical creation, a trip worth taking for getting to know life’s values.
